Each Use Case contains a list of achieved benefits, driving factors, financial information, advice for replication and links to relevant Solutions and the implemented Products. There is also the opportunity to contact the Swiss Smart City Compass platform users who participated in implementing and managing the Use Case.

Traffic volume-dependent street lighting in St.Gallen

With the help of radar-based traffic counters, the street lighting on Oberstrasse and Ahornstrasse is controlled depending on the current traffic volume. With the NovaLight software, the system can be remotely controlled, parameterized and monitored.

First Responder

In order to provide even faster help in emergencies such as cardiovascular arrest, a first responder system is being set up in the canton of Basel-Stadt: Trained and registered helpers are alerted by the emergency call center to provide first aid.
